Yozuki Drive has returned!

The legendary Yozuki Drive has returned to the internet!

What do you get when you cross chaos style and dork factor?

I have absolutely no clue, but those words are emblazoned upon the crest of Yozuki Drive.

You’re probably sitting there mumbling to yourself, “What the hell is this ‘Yozuki Drive’?” That’s because you’re a worthless loser. Everyone who’s anyone remembers the legacy of Yozuki Drive, aka Blazing Pocket, aka Orion Age.

“I know I’m a worthless loser, AJ. I’m pitiful, I’m disgraceful, I’m disgusting. And now I come before you, in all your grace and glory, with nothing more than a simple request of enlightenment: Tell me more about Yozuki Drive.”

Yozuki Drive is, put simply, a lifestyle blog.

Put not-simply, just read this crazy mess that he calls his “About” page. Hopefully he’s fixed the font colors by the time this article publishes.

Yozuki Drive is owned and operated by an old friend of mine, Lanzar. Me and Lanzar go way back to the year of 2008, when he first discovered my website and told me that it was, and I quote his exact words here, “The funniest fucking shit since the Holocaust.” While I don’t really find the Holocaust to be as funny as Lanzar does, I nonetheless appreciated the compliment. We became internet buddies, and he even joined up at the AJnet Forums when they opened in 2010. I also had the honor of being interviewed by him for his website.

Oh, and he’s contributed a guest article to AJnet Magazine, where he made fun of my setup.

Being a lifestyle blog, Yozuki Drive covers all kinds of topics that interest Lanzar, like gacha games, WordPress backups, and Windows 8. This site’s got it all, and then some. I heard he’s working on an article about the recent advances in nuclear fusion technology, and it’ll probably be done after he’s finished writing a review of Megadeth’s final album.

Mostly though, he writes about video games, in particular Japanese ones.

Lanzar is still in the process of reuploading his old articles. Between Yozuki Drive and his other projects like Blazing Pocket and Orion Age, he’s got a lot of work to do. I don’t even know how far back his sites go. He might have even started writing before me. This is a seasoned veteran of the industry, a true titan of writing. Even with the breaks he took, you’re still going to have a massive backlog of content to read, so be sure to break out your phone when you’re dropping your own massive backlog at work. Lanzar has had a lot to say over the years, and trust me, you’re going to want to read it all.

Now, just because Lanzar is a veteran of the game doesn’t mean he’s some washed up has-been trying to stage a comeback. This is a guy who’s been at this for a long time, and he’s going to keep going for an even longer time. Practice makes perfect, and because Lanzar has honed his craft for so long, he’s become great at it. He’s not past his prime, he’s in it.

With this recent return to writing, I think that we can come to expect great things from Lanzar and Yozuki Drive. This is a talent that’s only going to keep growing. So head on over to Yozuki Drive and check out a true professional at work.
