I didn’t like Charlie Kirk, but he didn’t deserve to die.
On Wednesday, September 10, conservative political pundit Charlie Kirk was killed while speaking at a Utah university after a sniper shot him in the throat.
I’m not a fan of political pundits, I hate them all no matter what side of the spectrum they’re on. Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh were bad enough, but after 2016 they’ve become even more insufferable. Now we have obnoxious cunts like Nick Fuentes and John Oliver dominating the scene, and even Alex Jones has managed to go mainstream.
I’d love nothing more than to line all these grifting bastards up and slap the fucking shit out of them until they can’t open their mouths to spew anymore of their ignorant and divisive profit-driven bullshit. It’s like society has decided to reward the loudest and dumbest retards with tons of money and massive cult-like followings. Anyone giving money to people like Nick Fuentes or John Oliver or Alex Jones or Milo whatever-the-fuck-his-stupid-last-name-is is an asshole and part of the problem. You’re literally paying someone just because you agree with what they’re saying, you dumbfucks. That’s like the pinnacle of stupidity. Stop giving these obnoxious dickheads your money.
With that said, what happened to Charlie Kirk was completely uncalled for, and I can’t get behind it.
I’ll admit, I don’t know much about the guy other than that he was the guy from those “Change my mind” memes, and the few videos I’ve seen of him debating are just him talking over the opposition and changing the subject (South Park nailed that one imo). From all appearances he seemed like just another arrogant political commentator who thinks he’s figured it all out and has something to sell.
I do know, however, that nobody deserves to get shot in the throat for expressing an opinion, no matter what side they’re on. I also know that all the people on Reddit and Twitter cheering for his death are degenerate pieces of shit. He was a Christian conservative, so he deserved to die for expressing his opinions? I’m not even Christian or conservative, but I’m American, and even if I don’t agree with his opinions he still has the right to express them. So according to you guys we can just kill people who say things we don’t like? If so, I’m calling open season on all of Reddit. Seriously, there was less cheering from Reddit when the leader of ISIS got taken out than there’s been over Charlie Kirk.
Before you call me a hypocrite because I support Luigi Mangione, there’s a difference between Charlie Kirk and Brian Thompson. Charlie was at most guilty of being an obnoxious twat who expressed support for politicians and policies that were controversial, and using that to profit from supporters. Brian was guilty of denying people life-saving medical treatment in the name of profit. Both sucked, but only one actually did anything worthy of being killed. If someone had slugged Charlie Kirk in his smug mouth I’d have applauded that and said he got what he deserved for being an arrogant loudmouth prick. Shooting him in the throat was needless and excessive.
This is what it’s come to. We’ve moved on from blocking out the other side to quite literally taking out the other side. We’re so triggered over people holding different viewpoints that we’re actually pulling the trigger on them and ending their lives. I know this is just barely still America, but we can’t go around killing people for having different opinions and beliefs, even if they are obnoxious grifting dicks. People are entitled to voice their opinions, and gullible idiots are entitled to throw their money at those people. Free speech will always be a double-edged sword, and it will always mean that we sometimes have to hear people say things we don’t agree with, or even outright hate. I think John Oliver is a limey socialist cunt, but I wouldn’t want to see him get shot for it.
At the most, Charlie Kirk only deserved an ass-whooping. That bullet would have been better utilized on someone like the CEOs of BlackRock, Google, Comcast, or virtually any of these large companies that routinely fuck Americans over. Why not shoot at someone who’s actually part of the problem? If someone like David Rothschild or Bill Gates got a bullet through their carotid artery I’d be thanking the shooter and trying to pin a medal on them. But I just can’t get behind killing a guy for simply having different political opinions from me, and all of y’all who are cheering about it or calling for a shooting war with the left over it are deranged.
Nobody should ever have to worry about getting killed for having an opinion, plain and simple. Cancel culture was bad enough, now we have to worry about being killed for wrongthink too? Yeah, no, fuck that.
